Rental Agreement
A rental agreement is a binding contract between landlords and tenants who are renting or leasing property. Rental agreements can be used for residential or commercial property and must adhere to federal and state laws. This site contains information more about rental and lease agreements as well as the rights and responsibilities of landlords and tenants.
Rental Agreements
Rental agreements are contracts that lay out important terms of the rental or lease. Rental agreements are different from leases in that rental agreements are for short amounts of time (usually 30 days) and automatically renew at the end of the period unless canceled. Always read lease and rental agreements carefully before you sign.
Landlords
Landlords are the owners of a house, apartment, condominium, or real estate which is rented or leased to an individual or business. Landlords are responsible for keeping the property livable and maintained as well as managing rents and lease agreements, among other things.
Tenants
Tenants, renters, and lessees are all terms for the people that rent or lease property. In the lessor/lessee relationship both landlords and tenants have rights and responsibilities. Make sure to get everything in writing and throughly read any lease agreements and contracts before signing them.
Leases
Leases are agreements that allow property owners to rent their property to others. If you are planning to rent property for a long amount of time, you will most likely have to sign a lease agreement. Property like cars are typically leased on a monthly basis while homes and apartments have year leases.
